Below you will find useful information, for 2018/2019 season, that might help you with some doubts (some of those points may change without notice).


Q: WHAT IS THE 4 ART SESSIONS PACK?

A: This term defines four sessions of art classes within one month that the student receives as part of his/her art program content. As the Studio designed the content of each art program based on sessions (classes) we organized the block of four (4) sessions in a pack that makes easier to the student to pay monthly for the program, plus we may offer discounts if the student pays monthly.

Q: HOW LONG IS ONE ART PROGRAM AND THE ART SESSIONS?

A: It depends of the Art Program. Be sure, unlike any "art camp" offered by most of the art schools, our art programs are very different and the shortest ones are three months long (12 art sessions). We have programs that are eight months long and we have programs, such as the mentoring program that is customized according to the student needs that may last longer than a year.
Most of our art programs have one (01) session per week with ninety (90) minutes of duration.
Our new art program, INTRODUCTION HOW TO DRAW, which was designed for students/kids from 9 (ish) years of age and older (around 14 years old) has sixty (60) minutes sessions.

Q: HOW MUCH COST ONE ART PROGRAM?

A: It depends on the type of program, but the Studio designed the content of each program in a way that the conditions are pretty much the same: all of them have the option of four sessions pack payment, in which the studio may offer a promotional DISCOUNT to the student's first payment, when he/she subscribes in one of our art programs.
If the student wants to keep that discount for next payments, he/she must comply with some conditions that will be present by the studio.


Q: WHAT IS THE CONDITION TO GET DISCOUNT ON EVERY PAYMENT?

A: First, let's remember that any discount that the Studio may offer to the students is not a permanent situation, therefore we suggest that the students take advantage of any discount while it lasts.

The most important condition to keep the discount is to pay for the four sessions pack before the 5th day of the month.
If the student pays for his/her art sessions on the 5th day of the month or over, the price for the program will not have discount. The price will be the REGULAR PRICE.


Q: IS THERE ANY EXAMPLE OF HOW TO KEEP THE DISCOUNT ON EVERY PAYMENT WHILE IT LASTS?

A: Yes, for example, the regular price of the art program FUNDAMENTALS of DRAWING is $180.00 for a pack with four (4) sessions within the month. If the student pays before the 5th day of the month, the price with discount is $150.00. If the students pay on the 5th day or after that the value will be the REGULAR PRICE.

A month has often four (4) weeks, which means the student will have four (4) art sessions within that month. Therefore, if the student starts his/her program at the beginning of the month the payment covers the pack of four (4) sessions. That's the reason the studio uses the term "pack of 4 sessions".

If the student starts at the second (2nd) week of the month, that means his/her payment will cover only three (3) sessions because the first week has gone already, which is OK. We will calculate the value for those three (3) remaining sessions only.

For example:
FUNDAMENTALS OF DRAWING 4 sessions pack's regular price is $180.00.
Dividing $180.00 by 4 sessions you will find out that each session costs $45.00.
If you start at the second (2nd) week of the month, which means, you did not have the first (1st) session, you will pay for three sessions only.
The studio will multiply the cost of one session, $45.00, by three (3) => $45.00 X 3 = $135.00.
So, that is the value you pay for your first month, $135.00, having only three sessions instead of four, because you started at the second week.

If you start studying with us at the last week of the month, which means that you have only one session within that month, how much will you going to pay? $45.00 only!!! because that is the cost for only one session (remember $180.00 divided by four).

The next month (four weeks) you will pay the full $180.00 for the pack of 4 sessions.


Q: WHAT ABOUT THE DISCOUNT?

A: The studio may offer to the student a discount for the first payment, which may be kept when the students pays the next payments before the 5th day of the month.

Let's see how that works; it's simple, believe us. It is a real big deal.

Example:
The regular price of the art program FUNDAMENTALS of DRAWING is $180.00 for a pack with four (4) sessions within the month.

But with the offered discount for the student's first payment ($30.00 off), the price for a pack of four (4) sessions will be $150.00 (instead of $180.00), which means the cost for each session is ($150.00 divided by 4) $37.50.

Now, the same idea before applies here if the student starts at the second week of the month, which means, there will be 3 weeks left of sessions instead of 4. The studio will multiply $37.50 X 3 sessions, which means the student will pay $112.50.

If the student starts at the last week of the month, there will be only one art session within that month, because of the discount the student will pay $37.50 only (the price of one session).

The next month (four weeks) TO KEEP THE DISCOUNT the Studio offered to the student, the PAYMENT MUST be done BEFORE the 5th day, otherwise the price for the program will be the REGULAR PRICE, which means instead of paying $150.00 the student will pay $180.00 (for a pack of 4 art sessions).


Q: WHY THE STUDENT HAS TO PAY IN THE BEGINNING OF THE MONTH TO KEEP THE DISCOUNT?

A: The bills the Studio pays are due at the beginning of the month. If the students pay at the beginning of the month the studio can cash out the money and pay everything without interest.
It is easier for the studio to control and plan the payment for all expenses, even buying the snacks, cookies, candies, tea, coffee, beverages and other "goodies" for our break times and events such as students' birthdays, etc.

The discount the studio offers is an incentive to all of students. If the studio does not pay interest because the students pay at the beginning of the month, that's great and we can share that "benefit" with them.

Student can pay for the sessions by cash, or debit/credit card or electronic transfer. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHEQUE


Q: WHAT DOES HAPPEN WHEN THE MONTH HAS 5 WEEKS?

A: When the month has 5 weeks, whether the student has discount or not, the studio gives the option of paying for 5 sessions, just find the value for one individual session and multiply by 5, or very often the last week of the month that has 5 sessions is the OPTIONAL week.
If any student pays for that session the Studio will be open for the student, otherwise the 5th week of the month has no sessions.
The studio has the calendar of sessions for the entire 2018/2019 season available for the students. Students will know in advance when the sessions will happen.


Q: I AM HERE, MAY I START MY ART PROGRAM RIGHT NOW?

A: The student only starts the art sessions after making the payment for the program. The studio is very sorry if that may look like an inconvenience.

We strongly recommend the student to book a day in advance to come and effectively, sign up for the program and to make the first payment.

If you intend to just walk in the same day you want to sign up for your art program, make the payment and start studying..... you are going to wait a little until someone from the staff is free to assist you.

Note: when you go to the college or to the school you don't sign up and start attending classes on the same day without making the payment.
Or just like happens in any other business when you walk in to a restaurant, to a mechanic, to a hair salon.... and you may have to wait some time until you are called because they were already booked for the day.


Q: IT'S SO NICE AT THE STUDIO, I FEEL LIKE I AM AT HOME!!!

A: That's great and we try our best to make everybody comfortable here, BUT any kind of harassment, violence, bad behavior, coarse language or improper attitude will not be tolerated at all!!!
The studio will terminate, immediately, any "business" with the student who committed any offensive action against a staff member or other student.


Q: I MISSED MY SESSION TODAY, CAN I REPLACE IT NEXT WEEK?

A: If the student misses an art session, it does not matter the reason, even communicating the studio in advance, that missed session is not refunded neither rescheduled, whether the student is enrolled in a regular art program or in the mentoring program.

NOTE: just like it happens at school, or college, or university or any course; if you miss the class the teacher/instructor will not come back the program's content because of that.


Q: I NEED TO TAKE A BREAK, I AM GOING ON VACATION AND I'LL BE BACK NEXT MONTH. IS THAT OK?

A: That's not a problem; vacation is good for everyone.

However, the studio really appreciates when the student communicates in advance that he/she will take a break because if the the student simply does not show up for the sessions we may assume that he/she just quit, and remember that missed sessions are not refunded nor rescheduled.

That being said, each student’s situation may be different, for instance:

  • Student needs to travel and is not going to attend 2 or 3 sessions next month.
  • => In that case we may recommend that the student pays for only the number of sessions that he/she will attend.
  • Student will go for the summer camp and will return 1 month (or more) later.
  • => We may recommend that the student stops the program with us and when he/she comes back signs up again a new start. That means, the Studio cannot guarantee the same spot for the student at the same day and the same hour, neither we can guarantee the same discount will be granted.


Note:
The point is, as in any business, we don't take a break from our bills and expenses.
Imagine if you approach you landlord and say that you are going on vacation for one month and because you are not living in the house for that period of time, therefore you are not going to pay your rent for that specific month.

If a current student “takes a break” from the Studio’s art program, his/her spot becomes available at that time and if a new student arrives looking for art sessions, the studio won’t refuse that subscription and it will fill that available spot with the new student (just as it happens in any business).

What the studio recommends in case of “taking breaks” from the art classes programs is to come to talk with us in advance and we will see what is possible to do in that situation.
